Notes from the Editor and Review Progress

Dear authors,
Please take note of the following:
Accepted papers for oral and poster presentations will be notified before 30th June 2015, by email. Acceptance for publication in Procedia Environmental Science will be announced during the conference. At the moment, the editorial committee is facing several problems regarding the manuscripts:
a) Late responses from reviewers. We are still waiting for 30 percent of the responses from the reviewers.
b) Most authors failed to follow strict guidelines provided by Elseviers especially in number of pages and referencing style.
c) Poor English language making it difficult for reviewers to read.

Notes from the Editor

Dear authors, We would like to request you to strictly follow the manuscript format as required by Elsevier by using the template given. Some of the common mistakes detected in formatting include:
1. Not using the template provided by the organiser
2. Email, phone and fax numbers of the corresponding author are not written according to the given format
3. References should be indicated by¹ (superscript) or^2,3 (superscript) in the text and not by author name and year
4. Reference list should be the order they appear in the text
5. The figure number and caption should be typed below the illustration in 8 pt and left justified except for one-line captions of length less than column width should be centered
6. Author's name must be included in the header
7. Figure and Table captions are not according to the format
8. Section and subsection headings are not according to the format
9. Maximum number of pages for manuscript submission is only 6 pages and not more.
Apart from the suggested comments, the authors should also double check their manuscript/s to be in accordance to the template and guidelines given.
